Probably not but still its an interesting concept that lead to the creation of the classic escalators of today, the original models were greatly different from these however with rings of platforms instead of a single stretch travelling round at different speeds allowing a passenger to get used to each rings faster speed. Surprisingly 12 million people tried these devices with a 0 fatality or accident rate!!
