IPhone Development Update #1

Almost 400 pages into the great Beginning Iphone Development 3 book, turns out iphone development is alittle more tricky then one might assume! Making steady progress through the topics however and by the end of the month i’ll have covered all the topics required to make an app using the various features, on reason for the slow pace is the difficulty in learning the rather large low-level chunks of code in a new coding style that achieve small goals such as allowing data persistence or access to various folders resources are stored in :P

I’ve come up with a few solid ideas of what to attempt, need to finalize these details but until then i’m just going to continue creating a few small apps to practice with, next practice app is going graphical with usage of the intriguing Quartz and OpenGL sdk/packages and hopefully Apple have made it simple to do stuff

I mean if all goes well the app ideas may be revisualized in a more funkier graphical look then those overused navigation and tab controller bars :P

Keep your ears tuned for more updates soon!

One different turn in history, Moving sidewalks instead of trains

Could less corporate greed at the turn of the century have provided us with a crazy world of moving sidewalks stretching through cities?! Probably not but still its an interesting concept that lead to the creation of the classic escalators of today, the original models were greatly different from these however with rings of platforms instead of a single stretch travelling round at different speeds allowing a passenger to get used to each rings faster speed. Surprisingly 12 million people tried these devices with a 0 fatality or accident rate!!
