A lake covering 770 square miles and filled with 130bn cubic metres of water…….in the center of a desert??
Turk is continuing with a plan to pump billions of litres of water out into the desert to form a man-made lake, this plan could take upwards of 15 years to complete and will no doubt be met with fierce opposition from powerful opposition such as oh…the sun perhaps??
Usually the reason a desert exists is because all the water already got fried out, I can just imagine that as they pump water in its gonna be evaporating pretty darn fast
Anyway good luck to them for trying something newsworthy if alittle crazy, if they just sort out all the other problems such as the difficulty in getting a visa to enter the country and the fact that foreign journalists are currently banned (never a good sign!)…….
To conclude, if in two decades your looking for a nice relaxing desert boating experience minus the camels check this place out….but dont forget you’ll be running 2-to-1 odds on gettin arrested and beheaded for speeding in that paddle boat

In the last few years science really has being outdoing itself in developing some seriously cool new wundertoys to play with. Firstly and most-vauntly (it IS a word I assure you, no need to check) carbon nanotubes came about thrilling us all with the possibilities of space elevators and cars that could drive through police blockades, another would be the ‘cloaking device’ allowing for current 2D invisibility

Another great list here, fantastic presentation on this one to go with the humor content….you just have to agree with the points!
Number 2 – A man should be able to hookup an entertainment center with no trouble
Very true, I would be appalled at myself as a man if I couldnt plug wires in right

Well done vlc team for the official release of your player software! -round of applause-
I never thought I’d see the day when vlc player would climb out of its beta hole, but here it is ![]()
I’m actually downloading and installing right now so fingers crossed they’ve updated some parts to make this smoother then ever on windows 7 – (the unsupported anywhere windows)
Exciting times ahead

“Update: Looks like the announcement of Windows 7’s release to manufacturing will come on July 13. TechNet and MSDN subscribers could get copies very soon after that.”
Promising news for MSDN subscribers, after receiving xp and vista free of charge and with the release of windows 7 soon theres a high chance we’ll be getting an upgrade option very soon.
Only question left is…….which version will we get???

Great list here giving a number of actually really really decent film sequels in the sci-fi genre! Having seen most of these along with the originals I have to give the geddis stamp of approval to this list…..except the darlek one, dont watch that one as doctor who is just too much of a bad idea to watch…ever!
Peace

Main article showing quite a stunning image/vid on a new billboard……that bleeds when it rains? Indeed!
While the imagery used definately stands out and isn’t exactly what a bus of nuns would approve of, one thing it definately achieves is to freak drivers into behaving on a stretch of road renowned for its high death toll on holidays!
New death toll post-billboard? 0% baby!

Since upgrading to the fabled OS 3.0 on my 2g iphone i’ve noticed a sharp trend in just how quickly my battery dies, before the update it used to be pretty decent (i was charging once a day but thats cause i’m a wi-fi thief
), nothing major at all.
After however its simply rubbish, recently I had to perform 3 full charge cycles (charged to full and drained completely) in a single day!. Pretty staggering as I wasn’t even using my phone much at the time
Anyway message to Apple – TAKE A BREAK FROM BUILDING WHITE PLASTIC OBJECTS AND SORT THIS OUT!
Apple keeps this up and I’m gonna have to switch to something else!

10 Reasons why this whole BMI thing is just some oldy-skool garbage
Found this quite amusing as in all this time I never really questioned the almighty BMI’s origins or use, seems like it might be more useful for all of us to scrap these outdated and ridiculous ideas and start using some down-to-earth science to actually create a true working doohickey for once!
